MYOLI BEACH HOUSE
36 Claude Urban Drive, Sedgefield
Tasked with extending a Mediterranean Revival–influenced Tuscan beach house, the project sought to introduce a contemporary spatial language while remaining faithful to the character of the existing dwelling. The central challenge lay in weaving a new identity into the home without diminishing the architectural DNA that defines it—creating, instead, a seamless continuation that feels both familiar and renewed.
The addition establishes a continuous, breathable sequence of spaces that expand the life of the house toward the landscape and sea beyond. A new double garage, a master bedroom with en-suite, and a living room that projects toward the coastal view form the core of the intervention, accompanied by further carefully integrated expansions. Together, these elements reinterpret the home for its next chapter, shaping a more personal and considered response to the couple’s evolving way of living.
An outdoor satelite kitchen openly welcomes guests to take part in the experience of the reimagined space, drawing ties to the existing deck, fire pit and gravel, water featured garden ; lending to the social lives of the clients.
